KMB was founded in 1926 by Christopher ‘Kit’ McGonagle, then practising under the style of Kennedy & McGonagle. Originally located on Dublin’s main thoroughfare, 34 O’Connell Street Upper, the firm moved to the shadow of Dáil Eireann in 1969 at 29 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2. Further expansion in 1987 led to a move to our present location at 20 Northumberland Road, a merger with Roger Ballagh & Son followed in 1991. The expansion continued with the incorporation of Bell Branigan O’Donnell & O’Brien into the firm in 1997 leading to our current location in the central business district of Dublin 2. We maintain a close working relationship with law firms throughout the world through our membership of the Association of Independent European Lawyers and World Link for Law.
